The Indonesian Meteorology, Climatology and Geophysics Agency reported a 4.4 magnitude quake in Indonesia near Sukabumi, West Java, just 13 minutes ago. The earthquake occurred in the early morning of August 20, 2021 at 3:07 a.m. local time at an average depth of 107 km. The exact magnitude, epicenter, and depth of the quake could be revised within the next few hours or minutes as seismologists review the data and refine their calculations, or when other agencies publish their report.
A second report was later published by the European-Mediterranean Seismological Center (EMSC), which also listed it as a 4.4 magnitude earthquake.
