A 4.2 magnitude earthquake of moderate magnitude was reported late at night near Praya, ID.17 Lombok (undefined), West Nusa Tenggara, Indonesia.
According to the Indonesian Agency for Meteorology, Climatology and Geophysics, the quake struck on Friday, October 1, 2021, at 10:02 p.m. local time at a moderately shallow depth of 47 km. The exact strength, epicenter, and depth of the quake could be revised within the next few hours or minutes as seismologists review the data and refine their calculations, or when other agencies publish their report.
A second report was later published by the European-Mediterranean Seismological Center (EMSC), which also listed it as a 4.2 magnitude earthquake.
