Cats split dual meeting with the state of Arizona

TUCSON, Arizona- The Arizona swim and dive team split their doubleheader against Arizona State this weekend at Hillenbrand Aquatic Center.

The Wildcat women defeated the Sun Devils by a score of 155-139 while the men fell behind with a score of 195-103.

Cats were led past Aria Bernal on the women’s side as she won her two events, 100 and 200 back, along with the 200 IM to give Arizona an early lead in the meet. Senior Brooks fails picked up several event wins of his own again, this time with the 500 and 1000 free events.

 

Diver Bjorn Markentin He also showed a strong performance on Saturday afternoon when he won the 1m and 3m events, but it wasn’t enough for the men.
